WSJ's BBC Dad Interview Is Its Highest-Trafficked Piece Ever

In the now-viral clip, the dad, Robert Kelly, associate professor of political science at Pusan National University was being interviewed live on television by the BBC when his two children wandered into the office. "They're little kids and that's how things are." he said.

On Tuesday, the couple and their kids sat down with the Wall Street Journal to discuss their moment of internet fame.

It all started when Kelly forgot to lock the door to his office, which he says he usually does.

"I heard she leaving but I couldn't find them around me and I tried to check the door". I hope they stop arguing.

The professor's wife said she was watching the interview on TV when she noticed the children in the background. "It was chaos for me".

"Everybody we know seems to think it's pretty hysterical", Prof Kelly said. Notably, some speculated that Kelly was unable to get up and do anything because he was wearing business clothes out of the camera frame but something less appropriate on the bottom, it was later confirmed that he was just wearing jeans.

"We were anxious that BBC would never call us again", Kelly said.

Mrs Kelly said she phoned her son after the incident, and he admitted to being a bit "embarrassed", though he did see the amusing side. Professor Kelly said that he completely understood why people found it amusing to catch a regular family off guard.

She also revealed how she felt when many fans assumed she was the family nanny instead of the children's mother.

Kim Jung-A said she hoped people could just enjoy the video and reiterated: "I'm not a nanny".
