Musk bets against Australian billionaire: 100MWh Tesla Powerpack in 100 days

We are referring to Michael Cannon-Brookes, the co-founder of Atlassian, who wrote a Tweet addressed to Lyndon Rive, the vice-president for energy products at Tesla.

Piqued by a comment made by a Tesla executive staff member to the Australian Financial Review, Australian billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes asked Musk about it on Twitter. "That serious enough for you?" was the response from Mr Musk.

We must note that Cannon-Brookes said that he could make the project happen concerning finances and politics, as long as Musk could guarantee a capacity of 100 MW in 100 days.

Musk quoted a price of $250/kWh. Musk replied saying that it would cost $250 per kWh for 100MWh-plus systems, adding that additional fees like shipping, tariffs and installation would vary by country and are "beyond our control".

Her ordeal with ICE began on February 15, when agents entered her home and took her father and brother out in handcuffs. Abigail Peterson, another lawyer for Vargas, said her client was relieved to be out of custody.

The South Australian Government is interested in this system and is available for discussions.

It could be marketing bluster, observes ABC Australia, but it notes that Musk built a similar system in California. The Gigafactory is where Tesla will produce large quantities of Lithium-ion batteries in partnership with Panasonic.

Battery storage would help prevent further blackouts by increasing the peak amount of energy available to the grid. Tesla plans to achieve 35 GWh of battery cell production by the end of 2018 which would double its battery production. Solar energy is collected by Tesla's solar panels and stored in the Powerpacks, ready to be discharged for use at night.

As The Verge explains, there are many reasons, including political ones, behind the blackouts.

In South Australia, energy prices continue to surge, and local companies remain unable to meet public energy demand - mostly due to environmental concerns.

The state in question, South Australia, has been suffering from constant blackouts since more than last six months.
