Brandon Marshall headed to NFC East but not with Eagles

While the Giants and Marshall have agreed to a deal, the actual deal can't be signed until the start of the new league year.

Brandon Marshall is staying in NY next season, but will wear blue instead of green.

They solved the size problem Wednesday by adding Marshall, who'll turn 33 later this month, on a two-year, $12 million deal.

Marshall had 59 catches for 788 yards and three touchdowns with the Jets last season when his previous franchise struggled to find a dependable quarterback. Marshall has had over 1,000 receiving yards in all but three seasons throughout his career.

Trump Today: President predicts 'tremendous success' after well-received speech
The address will include a moment of remembrance for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who passed away a year ago . In 1981, new President Ronald Reagan, a Republican, discussed concerns his policies would hurt low-income Americans.

Staying in NY will allow Marshall to continue to tape his weekly appearance on Showtime's "Inside the National Football League".

Marshall's big frame and physical playing style is a flawless match for the explosiveness of OBJ and Shepard.

But if there was one constant shortcoming from a personnel standpoint tied to the offense's failures, it was this: A shortage of playmakers; a lack of explosiveness; a dearth of big-play ability to give Manning options. But Marshall said he won't force anything on Beckham or the Giants' other young receivers.

Marshall and Beckham have developed a relationship over the past two years. Eli Manning is 36 and his window is closing. The addition of Marshall will give the Giants a strong No. 2 WR and it won't allow defenses to focus exclusively on Odell Beckham Jr. It also gives NY a proven playmaker opposite Odell Beckham Jr., the Giants' only wideout to surpass the 700-yard-receiving plateau last fall. His biggest play was a 44-yard reception late in the regular-season finale that set up the go-ahead field goal in a road victory against a desperate Washington team.

The doubts about where the electric Mini will be built is one of a number of issues threatening to derail the revival of Britain's auto industry.

Manning and the Giants also present a much better opportunity for Marshall to get to his first playoff game.

Now, he doesn't have to move and joins a likely playoff-bound Giants team as he seeks a ring.

Marshall (6-4, 230 pounds) was selected by Denver out of UCF in the fourth round of the 2006 National Football League draft.

On offense, Marshall should certainly help the Giants.
