Georges St-Pierre, UFC agree to terms for Octagon return

For some time, plenty of folks said Georges St-Pierre would never be back, including Dana White, but it looks like the former welterweight champ will be returning to the cage soon.

The former long-time UFC welterweight champion is close to signing on for a multi-fight deal with the UFC, according to a report by MMA Fighting.

While St-Pierre's return fight has yet to be finalized, the current plan is for him to compete later this year.

President congratulates ISRO for landmark launch
Earlier, Russia had set a record by launching the highest number of 37 satellites in the year 2017. India also had a 714kg Cartosat-2 satellite on board whose main task will be Earth observation.

Neither the UFC or St. Pierre's camp commented on the report, but UFC president Dana White recently told TSN that the company was talking with the Canadian MMA star. He has made it clear that he will not make his return to the octagon for anything less than a big-name, big-money fight and what makes this an interesting proposition is that GSP fits both of those criteria.

Bisping has expressed his interest in the fight and Georges reportedly wants it too.

While details are scarce and the agreement is not 100 percent official, Helwani indicated that we should expect to see St-Pierre back in MMA later this year. With the middleweight title on the line, St-Pierre would return and receive his well-deserved title shot.

Shares fall in Thomas Cook as results disappoint
Standard Life, which holds 13% of Thomas Cook shares and is the company's second biggest shareholder, voted against the pay plans. The firm said average selling prices for outbound holidays from the United Kingdom are 9 per cent higher than a year ago.

The exact details of St-Pierre's impending return are unclear, but sources told MMAFighting.com that the third quarter of 2017 now is being targeted for his first fight back.

In addition, on Monday's episode of The MMA Hour, Michael Bisping said one of St-Pierre's trainers told him "the deal is nearly done and he wants to fight me". From a marketing perspective, I don't see how Bisping would disappoint as far as doing his own fair share of selling the fight is concerned. They did not support me because of the testing issues for the doping, they did not support me for the anti-doping. His only losses came to Matt Hughes at UFC 50 in October 2004 and Matt Serra at UFC 69 in April 2007, and he ultimately defeated both fighters in subsequent bouts, including Hughes twice. "He is retired. He will not fight again".

"I'm not going to tell you exactly what was said", St-Pierre said. In addition to being considered the greatest welterweight champion of all time, the Québec native is also widely-regarded as one of the best fighters in the history of MMA.

Japanese experiment proves that cleaning up space junk is hard
It's a frustrating setback given the mounting risks posed by the almost two million bits of junk now swirling around our planet. Even a tiny piece of space debris could damage or destroy critical equipment when it's moving at extreme speeds.
