Fans of Netflix's supernatural show The OA can breathe easy: the company announced today that it has renewed the show for a second season, according to Variety.
No release date for the new season has been announced. In addition to her physical changes, she refers to herself as "The OA", something no one seems to understand. The eight-episode first season premiered with little fanfare and just one trailer released a few days in advance. She refuses to tell any authority figures what happened to her in the interim, and instead relies on a group of five locals to convey her life story and, she hopes, rescue other people who are being held captive.
Season 1 concluded on a major cliffhanger, and left viewers with more questions than answers.
Netflix released season one of "The OA", comprising eight one-hour episodes, on December 16 with hardly any advance publicity.
