DHS Releases Statement on Trump's Executive Order

Trump's vague executive orders on Friday blocked all people from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, and Yemen - including green card residents - from entering the US for 90 days. But border control officials should harass them?

President Donald Trump made good on his campaign promise to ban Muslims from America by temporarily making it illegal for visa-holders and permanent residents from seven Muslim-majority countries to enter America.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer noted just 109 of the 325,000 foreigners who traveled to the United States Saturday were detained and agreed 177 others were prevented from boarding planes.

"The Department of Homeland Security will comply with judicial orders; faithfully enforce our immigration laws, and implement President Trump's Executive Orders to ensure that those entering the United States do not pose a threat to our country or the American people", according to the department's statement.

He also asked the people to first question AAP as to what it promised and the responsibilities it honoured in Delhi. Parkash Singh Badal said the SAD-BJP government had taken everyone along with it.

But looking back, it wasn't just unclear, in the immediate aftermath of Trump's executive order, whether or not green card holders were exempt.

CNN also reports that the Homeland Security Secretary and his department's leadership only "saw the final details shortly before the order was finalized". Similar orders were issued in three other states on Saturday. "They can not return to the US for 90 days".

New Jersey Democrat Senator Cory Booker arrived at the airport at midnight local time to get assurances that detained green card holders would be released.

"It's been a very confusing process", the Republican Senator told CBS.

"The executive order doesn't affect green card holders moving forward", Priebus told NBC's "Meet the Press". It was decided by the Department of Homeland Security they could fly to the United States and would be considered on a case-by-case basis after passing a secondary screening. Conway agreed but suggested the seven nations were included because "the president and Congress will always have information we do not", although she and Priebus said the Trump administration was using guidance from the nations included in the Terrorist Prevention Act of 2015.

Unlike how the White House tried to spin the Women's March on Washington, the White House protest is clearly a popular action against the Trump administration's Muslim ban. ".It was an initial call, it was more of a congratulatory call ... in the end, people should be encouraged by the fact that we're starting off on a decent footing with leaders around the world, including President Putin".

CNN reported, however, that the White House overruled that interpretation Saturday morning, mandating that the DHS could allow or not allow green card holders to enter the US, on a case-by-case basis. Trudeau is expected to visit the White House in the future.
