White Says Coleman Is Probably Done Fighting In The UFC
UFC President Dana White spoke with the media following UFC 109 about Mark Coleman’s future in the organization.
“I think that was probably Coleman’s last fight in the UFC,” White said according to Sherdog. “Mark Coleman has always been a stand-up guy with me. I think he’s going to have a hard time competing with these guys at the top. Age is a factor with him.
[Coleman] wasn’t able to do anything. Is a fighter ever accepting? It’s a tought thing to say it’s over.”
Prior to his fight with Randy Couture at the Fenruary 6 event, Coleman made it clear that win or lose, he would still continue fighting. Now that White wants him to retire, it will be interesting to see what Coleman decides to do.

Mark Coleman has given enough to the sport, It won’t be tough for me as a fan to say good-bye to him. There would be no emotion except pride concerning the end of his career. I’ll just say thank you for hanging in there and setting the bar high for other fighters who think about battling the question of retirement and age.
His performance against Couture was bad, it even looked very dangerous too me with his standing defence all but non-existent. I hoped during the fight, that he didn’t get seriously K.O’d.
If Coleman does stay in the UFC or continues to fight else where, he is in serious danger of getting hurt, and that would be a shame….
