Alabama Pride - Jeff Monson vs. Travis Fulton

Thunder Promotions recently announced that a heavyweight fight between Jeff Monson and Travis Fulton will serve as the new main event for its Alabama Pride event on December 12, which takes place at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama.

The organization had previously announced a heavyweight main event between Butterbean and Tank Abbott, but the fight has been dropped entirely from the card.

The new headlining fight features two veteran mixed martial arts fighters in Monson and Fulton.

Monson, a former UFC heavyweight contender, holds a record of 31-9. He has won seven of his last eight fights and is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Pedro Rizzo at Bitetti Combat MMA 4 in September.

His opponent Fulton has a record of 191-45 and is currently riding a five-fight win streak, including a recent win over Tony Crawford at MFC 8 in August.

Also featured on the card is a co-main event celebrity boxing fight between rapper DMX and musician Eric Martinez.
