Carlos Newton vs. Shonie Carter Welterweight Title Fight Set to Main Event W1: High Voltage on October 10

Warrior-1 announced today a main event W1 welterweight title fight between Carlos Newton and Shonie Carter at W1: High Voltage on October 10 at the Robert Guertin Arena in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.
Newton, who is a former UFC welterweight champion, has lost three of his last five bouts. He recently defeated Nabil Khatib via knockout in his W-1 debut this past March at Warrior-1: Inception.
Carter, a former WEC welterweight champion, is on a three-fight win streak. He last competed this past February at Throwdown ETC: Showdown, defeating George Lockhart by split decision.
Warrior-1 also announced a co-main event between Remi Morvan and Adrian Wooley for the W1 bantamweight title fight, and a number one contenders bout between undefeated featherweights Tom Waters and Mike Hong.
