Although it was expected that light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida would take on Quinton “Rampage” Jackson for his first title defense, it will actually be Mauricio “Shogun” Rua facing the champion. Jackson decided to join The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 as a coach to settle his feud with Rashad Evans, so that left the door open for Rua, who is coming off a stunning knockout of Chuck Liddell.

UFC 104 will eminate from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, on October 24.
